University Heights Middle School is an IB World Candidate School. Our mission statement reflects the mission of the International Baccalaureate Program. “University Heights Middle School provides holistic education through challenging, cross-curricular instruction inspiring students to become active, caring and creative life-long learners. By actively participating in their own learning, our students develop a deeper understanding of the ever changing world around them and their place in it.” Our goal is to offer all students a rigorous, well-rounded education with an emphasis on holistic education, communication and intercultural awareness.

School lunches will get healthy makeover this year

RUSD students will see some healthy changes to the school menu this year, following the passage of the Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act of 2010. This federal law aims to reduce the incidence of childhood obesity by providing healthier choices for school lunches. These include more whole grains, and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Parent Haiku Accounts

One of the outstanding features of Haiku is the availability of Parent Accounts. This will allow parents to log in to Haiku LMS and see the information that their student’s teacher is providing, including but not limited to class events, requests, assignments, homework, and student resources.
