School Site Council (SSC)
The school site council (SCC) plays an important role in decision-making at many schools. Find out what the council does and how you can get involved.
The school site council is comprised of equal numbers of teachers, parents, classified employees, that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are elected by their peers. For example, parents elect the parent representatives and teachers elect teachers. The SSC is open to all parents and they are encouraged to participate in the open discussions.
Members of this group are elected to serve a two-year term.
The SCC usually has monthly meetings, please check the monthly calendar for meeting dates and times that begin promptly at 8:00 AM in the Library.
