Dr. Kimberly Lau is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Earth Sciences at UC Riverside. Her research focuses on understanding how environmental conditions in the oceans and marine life evolved together in the last >500 million years, during which animals have inhabited the Earth. She is particularly interested in understanding the causes and consequences of past climate change and how they relate to mass extinctions. Originally from Cupertino, California, Kim attended Yale University for college and recently completed her Ph.D. at Stanford University.
